How to install Japanese onto your iOS device

Your iOS device, whether it's an iPhone, an iPod Touch or an iPad, can be transformed into a tool to help you learn Japanese in just a few easy steps!

You can watch my video about this on YouTube if you like!

Anyway...firstly, we need to go into "Settings"

(This will probably be on your main screen and it's a grey box with cogs inside)

-------------------------------

Then, we want to scroll down until we get to "General"

After entering "General", we need to navigate our way to "Keyboards

(NOT KEYBOARD) ^-^

-------------------------------

To do this - Scroll down to the bottom, until you get to "International"

-------------------------------

After entering "International", go to "Keyboards"

"Here's one I made earlier"
-------------------------------

We will see all of the keyboards that are currently installed on our iOS device.
If you've never been to this section before, your screen will probably look something like this:

At this point, yours looks like this right?

-------------------------------

Go into "Add New Keyboard..."

Then go down....

Keep going :P

Until we see Japanese!

We've arrived at our destination!

Now simply Tap the language to install it!

There are two different Japanese keyboards:

Japanese (Romaji) and Japanese (Kana)

Let's install both for now!

AND WE'RE DONE!!!!

Your "Keyboards" screen should now look a little more like this:

WAIT A SECOND....
....
....
....
....

HOW THE HECK DO I USE THEM?!

DANG IT.. THOSE SUBLIMINAMABLE MESSAGES..

Don't worry, George!

Here's how to use the Romaji Keyboard

I'll have a guide for the Kana Keyboard soon :)

  1. There is not a setting titled international when scrolling down in general settings. Perhaps a step is missing.
